Cookie Policy
The Short Version: We hate annoying cookie banners. The core commenting widget you embed on your site sets zero non-essential cookies.
1. The Commenting Widget
When end-users view or submit comments on a site powered by MarkReply, we do not set any tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies. We rely entirely on strict server-side logic and HTMX to function.
2. The Admin Dashboard & Marketing Site
If you are a site owner logging into our infrastructure, we use strictly necessary cookies to make the service function:
- Authentication: We use an HTTP-only
admin_tokencookie to keep you securely logged into your moderation dashboard. - Billing: Our payment provider (PayPal) may set essential cookies during the checkout process to process your subscription securely.
3. Analytics
We use Umami Analytics on our primary marketing website to understand basic traffic patterns. Umami is a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.
